With workers still atop the sail, a US Navy submarine went out on the York River, back to Norfolk. Two Moran tugs escorted the sub to the Coleman Bridge, after which two fast boats with heavily armed Navy SEALS picked up the escort. The sub spent a week at NWS Yorktown loading/
unloading weapons.
