DESTROYERS COMPARED - While sailing past Naval Weapons, we got a rare look at two classes of Navy destroyers side-by-side. Behind the patrol boat is the USS Paul Hamilton, an Arleigh-Burke Class destroyer. No. 66 is the USS Hue City, a Ticonderoga-Class destroyer. They have identical lengths and similar beams. Hamilton is much more expensive at $1.8 billion vs. $1 billion for Hue City. That suggests a more sophisticated weapons system, namely for firing up to 50 Tomahawk missiles.
