Richard and Lynne Randall enjoyed a beautiful breeze and serene view while sailing near Williamsburg. Just a few weeks ago their neighborhood in suburban Houston suffered tornadoes and winds of 60-100 mph. “Hail the size of golf balls pelted our two new cars, which we bought two months earlier,” Lynne said. “Six weeks,” Richard clarified. They’re looking at $4,500 damage to one car and $2,500 to the other to pound out the dents. The roof of their house took so many hits that it has to be replaced. “The vents are sealed with sweet lead, whatever that is,” Lynne said. “Squirrels love to eat it, so our vents collapsed in the wind and left holes in the roof.”
